The building was built in 1900 and in recent years has been used as a photography studio. Its latest use as a clothing storage warehouse for designer clothing retailer ‘Jules B’ required the building to undergo a programme of refurbishment to make it a suitable environment.
The products supplied included Bollom Brosteel Ultra 60, Zinsser AllCoat Primer and Finish and Blackfriar Polyurethane Floor Paint. Revolutionary new product Brosteel Ultra 60 is a thin film waterborne intumescent coating designed to provide 30 and 60 minutes fire resistance on standard structural steel members in internal environments.
The client, Managing Director Julian Blades, desired a clean, bright storage environment suitable for designer clothing and Zinsser’s AllCoat Solvent Based Primer and Finish was the obvious choice. The brilliant white paint was sprayed on the walls and ceiling to prime, seal and provide a washable matt finish with excellent stain blocking qualities. Finally, the floor was coated with Blackfriar Polyurethane Floor Paint to provide durability and resistance to medium duty traffic.
